Rotation of extension due to settlement.
As a result of a shallow foundation being placed within a layer of fill, this single storey extension had settled and rotated away from the main house. A previous attempt at mass concrete underpinning had failed, so Charterbuild designed and installed a screwpile foundation to provide permanent support to the original foundation. A total of 9 piles were installed in 2 days with little excavation and no spoil to cart away and no concrete to import.
